“It was a pleasure working with the Foushée team on the rennovation of the Bleitz Funeral Home.  In spite of formidable hurdles thrown at the project due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Foushée’s project leadership team remained steadfast and focused to a successful project completion.  They have delivered a legacy project that will define the skyline of Seattle for several generations.  We look forward to building more successful projects with Foushée in the future.”

316 Florentia Street (formerly known as the Bleitz Funeral Home) encompasses a full retrofit of an 8,200 SF historically landmarked building in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. This unique property was originally built in 1904 and opened as a funeral home from its conception until 2017, when the vision to convert the historical landmark into an office building was born.

Work includes a new seismically retrofitted frame, revised open floor concept, vaulted ceilings visible through exposed 100-year old joists, new drywall and paint, new elevator, and new custom double-pane windows to match the existing operable sash windows. Exterior work includes a lush courtyard on the east side of the building, in addition to a lower north courtyard a stone’s throw away from the Fremont Cut.
