Adaptive reuse of a 32,000 SF industrial building in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood into a new wine production facility and tasting space. Project includes replacement of the roof system and floor slab, seismic upgrades, design-build MEP system with new upsized domestic water and electrical utility services, a complete glycol refrigeration system and wine processing piping and equipment, a walk-in cooler for chilled storage, and four 2,300 SF each refrigerated barrel storage rooms behind a full height custom fabricated steel framed insulated glass partition wall.
The office and tasting room includes a wine retail and storage area, wine lab, offices, commercial kitchen, bar/tasting room, event space, public restrooms, and 2-stop elevator. High-end finishes throughout with custom fabricated blackened steel interior and exterior storefront, and metal panel systems by an award-winning architect.
Received the 2017 American Architecture Award.
