Public Storage Aurora

Location Seattle, WA
Client Public Storage
Architect

BCRA

"Foushée demonstrated expertise and professionalism before, during, and after construction of Public Storage's Aurora Avenue project. Our permit approvals were severely delayed which pushed groundbreaking into the rainy season. Foushée took a proactive approach to minimize the risk of building on wet soils while ensuring the project did not absorb additional costs. Foushée delivered a high-quality project that stands out as an exceptional property in Public Storage's portfolio."

— MARK BUCKNER, PUBLIC STORAGE —

6-story, 225,000 SF self-storage building located in the Greenwood neighborhood consisting of 2,000+ units. Due to the unique location amongst the adjacent newly constructed townhomes, the building fa-çade consists of EIFS, masonry veneer, metal panels, and storefront systems to blend into the nearby mid-rise residential developments.

The five lightweight concrete elevated decks are supported by a 10’ x 10’ grid of over 2,500 fireproofed columns and 3,500 fireproofed beams.
